The story of Norrøna Canvas Telemark is one of passion and vision. Jan Fasting, who had previously been responsible for safety and route planning for the Norwegian reality series, 71°Nord, met Per Kveim, the landowner and future business partner, during a trip in 2006. Jan was living in a tent on the very island where the hotel now stands when the idea of creating a secluded luxury hotel tailored specifically for mountain bikers was born. In 2010, Norrøna Canvas Telemark opened its doors to guests, offering a nature experience unlike any other.
